A tragic mid-air collision occurred near Washington, D.C.’s Ronald Reagan National Airport, involving an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter. All 67 individuals on both aircraft are presumed dead, with 28 bodies recovered from the Potomac River so far. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident, focusing on potential procedural errors and air traffic control issues. This marks the deadliest U.S. aviation disaster since 2001.
